Thanks to the contribution of our R&D department, the aluminum plates and sheets, aluminum strips, and aluminum foil produced by the company keep receiving positive feedback in automotive applications and are widely recognized by most auto parts manufacturers. Seizing the major trend of lightweight future development in the automotive industry, Mingtai has spared no efforts in the R&D of lightweight materials in automotive applications. Particularly, we have developed aluminum plates and sheets, aluminum strips, and aluminum foil products suitable for all kinds of components, including vehicle doors, hoods, roof panels, undercar shields, rims, fenders and heat exchange systems (radiators) as well as automotive power batteries, window regulators, gas tanks, etc.
We have developed the 5182 aluminum alloy sheet material as a mature product for parts such as vehicle doors, hoods, and front and rear fenders. 5182 aluminum sheet produced by Mingtai is excellent in stamping processes and free from cracks, which is proved by the positive feedback from our customers. Mingtai is able to produce 5182 aluminum alloy in thickness within 0.15-600mm and width within 20-2600mm (cutting can be customized based on different demands).
Mingtai has developed 5083, 5754, 5052 alloy aluminum plates as lightweight aluminum alloy products targeting auto parts such as undercar shields and vehicle gas tanks. Among them, 5083 aluminum plates and 5052 aluminum alloys are the most widely used products in auto parts, yielding excellent application effects and encouraging market response. These products are under mass production for Mingtai customers currently.
The widespread use of new energy automobiles and electric vehicles calls for changes in raw materials for automotive power batteries. Responding to the Chinese government’s policy, Mingtai has put great efforts into the development of lightweight materials for automotive applications, yielding fruitful results including aluminum plates and sheets, aluminum strips, and aluminum foil applicable for all kinds of components. Currently, Mingtai has developed products successfully applied in power batteries, mainly including 3003 aluminum strips for power battery shell material, 1235 aluminum foil for battery cells, and 1060/1070/1100 aluminum foils. We can produce 3003 aluminum alloys in thickness within 0.20-4.5mm and width within 20-2600mm. The market demand for 1070 aluminum foil and 1235 battery foil are generally at H18 state in thickness within 0.012-0.02mm and width within 280-1200mm.
Thick aluminum plates used in vehicle rims are mainly made of 6061 aluminum alloy, which is a leading star product developed by Mingtai’s surpassingly mature technique. We are able to produce and process it in thickness within 0.30-600mm and width within 150-2600mm.
